Prohibit Items
Please be aware that certain items are prohibited for pickup. We understand that mistakes can happen, but we cannot collect items listed here, and refunds will not be provided for such cases. It is the customer's responsibility to this list before making a booking. Thank you for your understanding.
Hazardous Materials
We currently do not accept items that require special handling, including paints and solvents, gasoline, batteries, pesticides and herbicides, Biohazards, cleaning agents, fluorescent light bulbs, motor oil or automotive fluids, propane tanks, asbestos, and lead-based materials.
What you can do instead:
If you’ve got hazardous materials piling up—like old paint, batteries, chemicals, or cleaning agents—there are several safe and legal ways to dispose of them in Nampa, ID. Junk removal companies often won’t touch these due to strict regulations, but here’s what you can do:

Tires
We cannot accept tires because they are classified as hazardous waste in many regions. Their potential to leach harmful chemicals and trap methane gas poses significant environmental risks. Additionally, landfills often restrict or ban tire disposal altogether due to these dangers. The specialized recycling processes required for tires add to the disposal costs, making it impractical for us to accept them.
What you can do instead:
-
🏪 Drop Off at Tire Reclaim in Caldwell
Just a short drive from Nampa, Tire Reclaim accepts passenger, truck, and industrial tires. They specialize in recycling and even offer mobile shredding. -
🔧 Ask Local Tire Shops
Places like Discount Tire and Loya Tires & Wheels may accept old tires when you buy new ones or for a small fee. Always call ahead to confirm. -
📜 Follow Idaho DEQ Guidelines
The Idaho Department of Environmental Quality regulates tire disposal. Businesses must use approved transporters, and residents should avoid illegal dumping (penalties can be up to $500 per tire!).
Roofing Tiles
Roofing tiles—especially clay or concrete—are extremely heavy and dense. They can quickly exceed truck weight limits or require special equipment to haul safely. Older roofing tiles may contain asbestos, which is a hazardous material requiring certified removal and disposal.
Deceased Animals
-
-
In many areas, disposing of animal remains is regulated by local health departments or animal control, not general waste services. Improper disposal can lead to fines or violations.
-
Specialized Disposal Requirements
Animal carcasses often require cremation, burial, or incineration at approved facilities—not landfills or transfer stations used by junk haulers. -
Odor and Contamination Risks
The smell of decomposition is intense and persistent. Fluids from the body can stain and contaminate trucks or equipment, requiring deep cleaning. -
Emotional Sensitivity
If the animal was a pet, junk removal companies may feel it's inappropriate to treat the situation like standard trash pickup. They may refer you to veterinary services or pet cremation providers instead.
